A Brain Massage
I’m in love with all the curls and straight lines in this elegant understated image by Tamara.
It’s the kind of an image that will nurture and give you so much if you really take the time to delve into it. It has all this gorgeous detail to explore and I’m already in a meditative trance only writing about it! Images like this can give us a brain massage while we lose ourselves in them. Look at the beautiful tones without a hint of excessive contrast.
Learner’s Tip 📸
Just like Tamara is doing here try putting your photos of reflections the ‘wrong’ way up so that the final image you are looking at doesn’t appear upside down. Otherwise it’s too much of a giveaway of how it was done and it can be difficult to see past it.
If a photo looks rooted and grounded with the trees growing upwards as opposed to downwards as you catch them in a puddle, we will have this pleasant illusion that it’s not a reflection but something that really exists. Some kind of other reality with its own rules where our rules of physics don’t apply.
